Early Life and Background

Emily DiDonato was born on February 24, 1991, in Goshen, New York, USA. She is of Italian, Irish, and Native American descent. Growing up in a small town, Emily's path to modeling began unexpectedly when a family friend encouraged her to pursue it. At the age of 17, she signed with Request Model Management in 2008, marking the start of her modeling career. ​

Modeling Career

Emily's modeling career quickly gained momentum. In 2009, she became the face of Maybelline New York, a significant achievement for someone with only a few months of experience. She made her television commercial debut for Maybelline's "Color Sensational Lip Color" line, appearing alongside established models like Christy Turlington. 

Her portfolio expanded to include campaigns for major brands such as Guess, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Trussardi, and Victoria's Secret. In 2010, she became the face of Giorgio Armani's fragrance Acqua Di Gioia. Emily also graced the pages of prestigious fashion magazines, including Vogue, Elle, and Harper's Bazaar. ​

In 2013, Emily made her debut in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, with photos taken in Namibia. She has walked the runway for renowned fashion houses like Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, and Loewe. ​

Entrepreneurial Ventures

Beyond modeling, Emily co-founded Covey, a skincare line launched in 2021 alongside her best friend Christina Garcia. Frustrated with the overwhelming skincare market, Emily embraced a "less-is-more" philosophy due to her own sensitive skin. Covey offers a simplified skincare routine with products designed to be gentle yet effective.

Personal Life

Emily married financier Kyle Peterson on June 23, 2018, in a ceremony held in Beaver Creek, Colorado. The couple met on a flight from New York to Vail and got engaged in Ithaca, New York. They have two children: a daughter born on November 23, 2021, and a son born in May 2023. 

Emily has openly shared her experiences with motherhood, including the challenges and joys it brings. She emphasizes the importance of routines in her family life and has discussed tools like Charmspring's Springboard to help her children navigate their daily activities. ​
